The couple have been romantically linked since 2021, after meeting on a blind date
Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando are getting ready to celebrate something beautiful.
The “Flowers” singer, 33, and her musician boyfriend, 27, are engaged after four years of dating, PEOPLE confirmed. The announcement comes just hours after the couple sparked engagement rumors while walking the red carpet at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere in Los Angeles on Monday.
While the couple were posing together for the cameras, eagle-eyed fans noticed a gold and diamond ring flashing on Cyrus’ left ring finger. The “bespoke” ring, designed by Jacquie Aiche, features a cushion-cut stone set on a thick, 14-karat yellow gold band, PEOPLE reports.
Representatives for Cyrus and Morando did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly‘s request for comment.
Looking back on the singer’s social media pages, fans realized that she was first pictured wearing the show-stopping rock in photos from her Nov. 23 birthday party.
“33 is already burning bright thanks to the warmth of your sweet birthday wishes,” she captioned the Instagram post from last month. “All I want this year is more laughs with the people who give me the little smile lines that are starting to show up. I love you all.”
Cyrus was previously married to Liam Hemsworth, after nearly a decade in an on-again, off-again relationship. The couple wed in December 2018, and eight months later, Hemsworth filed for divorce.
Cyrus and Morando — a singer-songwriter best known as the drummer of Liily — were first romantically linked in late 2021. Two years later, Cyrus told British Vogue that the couple met after being set up on a blind date.
“Well, it was blind for me and not really for him,” she told the outlet. “I thought, ‘The worst that can happen is I leave.'”
The couple have largely kept their relationship lowkey, but have not been shy about walking red carpets and stepping out for dates in Los Angeles. The duo have also worked together: Morando co-wrote and produced the song “Handstand” from Cyrus’ 2023 album, Endless Summer Vacation, and also contributed to several songs on 2025’s Something Beautiful, including the title track.
“I worked with my dad forever. That’s how me and my ex-husband met each other. I’ve always worked with the people that I love,” Cyrus told Harper’s Bazaar a year after the album’s release. “And Maxx just inspires me so much.”
More recently, the singer told The Cut that she feels confident in the relationship dynamic that she and Morando have established.
“I ended up with a person who means a lot to me and treats me really well and respects me,” Cyrus said. “I had to learn that the hard way because my mommy taught me the wrong way, and then I had to learn the right way by myself.”
